Lumico Medicare Supplement Eligibility Verification, Claims and Phone
Reviewed October 13, 2026. To verify a Lumico Medicare Supplement policy, policyholders and their providers can call Lumico’s Medicare Supplement customer care line at 1-855-774-4491 (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET). Lumico stopped accepting new applications in January 2025, but existing Lumico Medigap policies stay in force, and claims are sent to Lumico electronically by Medicare after Medicare processes them, so providers don’t usually file a separate claim.
Quick answer: Lumico Medicare Supplement plans (A, F, G, N and High-Deductible G) work with any provider that accepts Medicare; there’s no network. Eligibility questions go to customer care, and claims cross over automatically from Medicare. If you’re shopping for a new Medigap plan for 2027, you’ll need another insurer, because Lumico isn’t taking new applications.
Lumico Medicare Supplement eligibility verification
For providers
- Confirm Medicare first. Lumico pays after Original Medicare, so check the patient’s Part A and Part B eligibility through your usual Medicare eligibility tools.
- Confirm the Lumico policy. Call Lumico Medicare Supplement customer care at 1-855-774-4491 with the policy number from the member’s Lumico card. Lumico’s website doesn’t publish a separate provider portal or provider phone line.
- Bill Medicare. Lumico says Medicare Supplement claims are sent to Lumico electronically by Medicare once Medicare has processed them.
For policyholders
If a doctor’s office asks you to confirm coverage, give them your Medicare card and your Lumico card. You can confirm your policy is active, check your plan letter or ask about a bill by calling 1-855-774-4491. Lumico’s general customer service line is 1-866-440-4047 (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET), and its email is customerservice@lumico.com.
Lumico Medicare Supplement plans
Lumico’s Medicare Supplement page lists Plans A, F, G, N and High-Deductible G, underwritten by Lumico Life Insurance Company or Elips Life Insurance Company. As with all Medigap plans, the benefits of each lettered plan are standardized by federal law, so a Lumico Plan G covers the same gaps as any other insurer’s Plan G.
| Plan | What it does |
|---|---|
| Plan A | Basic benefits: Part A coinsurance and hospital costs, Part B coinsurance, first 3 pints of blood, hospice coinsurance |
| Plan F | Covers all Medigap gaps, including the Part B deductible; only for people eligible for Medicare before January 1, 2020 |
| Plan G | Same as Plan F except the Part B deductible |
| Plan N | Like Plan G but with some office and ER copays, and no Part B excess charges |
| High-Deductible G | Plan G benefits after you meet a yearly deductible |

Is Lumico still selling Medicare Supplement plans?
No. Lumico’s website says it is no longer accepting new applications, and its help center says current customers aren’t affected. Medigap policies are guaranteed renewable, so an existing Lumico policy can be kept as long as you pay the premium.
If you’re looking for a new Medigap policy, the best time to buy is your Medigap Open Enrollment Period: the 6 months that start the month you’re 65 or older and enrolled in Part B. During that time insurers can’t deny you or charge more because of your health. Outside it, most states let insurers use medical underwriting. Other insurers to compare include Aetna and Accendo and AARP/UnitedHealthcare.
How Lumico Medicare Supplement claims work
- Your provider bills Medicare.
- Medicare pays its share and sends the claim to Lumico electronically.
- Lumico pays its share under your plan.
- Check your Medicare Summary Notice and Lumico’s explanation of benefits. If a claim didn’t cross over, call customer care.
Lumico’s claims page lists P.O. Box 83303, Lincoln, NE 68501-3303 as its claims mailing address. Call customer care before mailing anything so it reaches the right department.
Lumico and your 2027 Medicare costs
A Medigap policy doesn’t change during Medicare Open Enrollment (October 15 to December 7, 2026), but your Part B premium and deductible do change each January. CMS hasn’t published the 2027 Part B amounts yet; in 2026 the standard Part B premium is $202.90 a month and the Part B deductible is $283. Medigap doesn’t include drug coverage, so review your separate Part D plan for 2027. Thinking about leaving Medigap for Medicare Advantage? Read when you can go back to Original Medicare first.
