Iowa Total Care Insurance Card: ID Card, Rewards Card and Phone Numbers
Updated October 28, 2026. The Iowa Total Care insurance card is the member ID card for Iowa Total Care, one of the three managed care plans for Iowa Medicaid (IA Health Link). You show it at the doctor, hospital or pharmacy. You can view it in the Iowa Total Care app, and you can ask for a new one through your online member account or by calling Member Services at 1-833-404-1061 (TTY 711).
Quick answer: Iowa Total Care members can have two different cards: the member ID card, which proves your coverage, and the My Health Pays rewards card, a prepaid Visa card that holds the dollars you earn for healthy activities such as checkups and screenings. Rewards can pay utility, phone, transportation, childcare and rent bills or buy everyday items at Walmart, Sam’s Club and Hy-Vee. They can’t be used for alcohol, tobacco, firearms, gift cards, lottery tickets or cash.

Does Iowa Total Care have an OTC card?
We didn’t find an over-the-counter allowance card on Iowa Total Care’s value-added services page as of October 2026. Its spending card is the My Health Pays rewards card. Some other Medicaid plans offer OTC allowances; see Medicaid OTC benefits and Wellpoint OTC benefits, since Wellpoint Iowa is another Iowa Medicaid plan.
Iowa Medicaid plans and how to change
Iowa HHS lists three IA Health Link managed care plans: Iowa Total Care, Molina Healthcare of Iowa (1-844-236-0894) and Wellpoint Iowa (1-833-731-2140). Iowa Total Care is also one of the Hawki (CHIP) health plans.
You have 90 days from your first enrollment to change plans for any reason, plus a 60-day annual choice period each year. Outside those windows you need a good-cause reason, after first using your plan’s grievance process. Call Iowa Medicaid Member Services at 1-800-338-8366 (Relay Iowa TTY 1-800-735-2942) to change plans. Compare plans in Is Molina Healthcare Medicaid?.
