CDPHP OTC Benefits 2027: OTC Allowance Ends, Flex Card Covers Dental

In 2026, some plans loaded $25 or $50 a quarter for over-the-counter items onto a prepaid Benefits Mastercard. CDPHP’s 2027 Annual Notices of Change list OTC as “Not covered,” and the 2027 card becomes a Flex Card loaded with dental spending amounts.

The 2027 Choice Rx notice also shows the $300 eyewear allowance changing to “Not covered.” In 2026, Choice Rx included $1,650 for dental and $300 for eyewear; Clear Rx included $900 for dental and $250 for eyewear.
What is the CDPHP Medicare Advantage card?
In 2026, CDPHP called it a prepaid Benefits Mastercard. CDPHP’s 2026 Medicare Advantage brochure says the OTC allowance, dental and eyewear money went on the card, which could be used “online, over the phone, or at thousands of retail locations like Walgreens, Walmart, and more.” Members managed it in the Benefits Pro Portal at cdphp.nationsbenefits.com.

How to use your 2026 CDPHP OTC allowance before it ends
In-store purchases

Online and phone orders
Sign in to the Benefits Pro Portal at cdphp.nationsbenefits.com to shop online. For 2026 OTC orders by phone, this page has listed 1-877-200-3449 (TTY: 711); confirm the number on the back of your card.
Quarterly reload
The 2026 allowance loads each quarter. CDPHP says card amounts must be used by December 31 and “do not roll over from one year to another.”

Dental coverage with CDPHP in 2027
With OTC gone, dental is the main money on the 2027 card: $1,500 on Choice Rx, $1,000 on Core, $900 on Clear Rx and $400 on $0 Medicare Rx. Ask your dentist whether they accept the card, and check your Evidence of Coverage for covered services and limits.
