HealthSpring Flex Card: Benefits, Eligible Items and Where to Use It
Reviewed October 9, 2026. The HealthSpring Flex Card is the benefits card for HealthSpring Medicare Advantage members (the plans formerly sold as Cigna Medicare Advantage). Depending on your plan, it can hold a quarterly over-the-counter (OTC) allowance, a quarterly healthy grocery allowance for eligible members, and rewards you earn through the HealthSpring Incentive Program. It replaced what Cigna called the Healthy Today card.
Quick answer: Use the HealthSpring Flex Card at participating stores such as Walmart, Walgreens, Dollar General and CVS, or order OTC items at HealthSpringFlex.com or Walgreens.com. Allowances load each quarter and don’t roll over. Check your balance at HealthSpringFlex.com or by calling 1-866-851-1579 (TTY 711), Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
What’s on the HealthSpring Flex Card?

| Healthy grocery allowance | Quarterly amount for eligible members, for items like dairy, meats and vegetables; no rollover |
| Incentive Program rewards | Earned for healthy activities such as your yearly check-up and screenings; expire December 31 |

Cigna Healthy Today card is now the HealthSpring Flex Card
Cigna sold its Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D and related businesses to Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), completing the sale on March 19, 2025. Those Medicare Advantage plans are now offered as HealthSpring, and HealthSpring’s materials call the benefits card the HealthSpring Flex Card. If you still have an older Cigna Healthy Today card, check the card and plan materials you received for the current plan year.
