CarePlus OTC Benefits 2027: CareEssentials Allowance, Catalog and How to Order

Updated October 21, 2026

Reviewed October 21, 2026. CarePlus Health Plans, Humana’s Florida Medicare Advantage company, offers OTC benefits in two ways. Most plans include a CareEssentials allowance, a monthly amount on a prepaid spending card you use at participating stores or through the plan’s mail-order vendor. Some plans, such as CareSalute (HMO), instead give an OTC mail-order allowance that you spend through CenterWell Pharmacy. Amounts for 2027 are lower than 2026 on the plans we checked.

Quick answer: To order CarePlus OTC items, sign in to MyCarePlus, shop online through CenterWell Pharmacy, or call CenterWell Pharmacy at 1-800-526-1490 (TTY 711). In 2027, CareOne Plus (HMO-POS) in Broward and Palm Beach counties gives $70 a month, down from $105 in 2026. Benefits vary by plan and county, so check your plan’s Evidence of Coverage.

CarePlus OTC catalog 2027

As of October 21, 2026, CarePlus’s OTC page still lists the 2026 catalogs in English and Spanish. A 2027 catalog usually arrives before January; until then, your 2027 Summary of Benefits shows your allowance. The 2026 catalog includes:

It excludes baby items, contraceptives, cosmetics and food supplements. Humana’s own catalog works in a similar way; see the Humana OTC catalog 2027.

Can you buy groceries with CarePlus OTC?

Only on some plans and only if you qualify. CarePlus’s 2026 and 2027 Summaries of Benefits say members with qualifying chronic conditions can use CareEssentials money for “eligible groceries, utilities, rent, and more,” if they meet program criteria. For the rules behind these benefits, read Medicare grocery benefits for 2027.
