Clover Health OTC Card: Allowance, Balance and Catalog (2026)

Updated October 9, 2026

Reviewed October 9, 2026. Clover Health’s OTC benefit gives Medicare Advantage members a quarterly allowance for over-the-counter health items, loaded on a Visa card: the LiveHealthy Flex Plus card in 2026, renamed the Clover Flex Plus card for 2027. In 2026 the allowance is $50 to $180 per quarter depending on your plan, and unused money doesn’t carry over to the next quarter.

Quick answer: Spend your Clover OTC allowance at participating stores such as CVS, Walgreens and Walmart, or order from the OTC catalog. Check your balance by signing in to the My Clover member portal and choosing “View My OTC Balance,” which takes you to the Healthy Benefits+ site. Balances reset January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1.

Where to use your Clover OTC card

You can buy approved OTC items at participating retail locations. Clover names CVS, Walgreens and Walmart, and suggests store brands to stretch your allowance. Walmart also has an online OTC benefits shopping page. At checkout, pay with your card; eligible items are paid from your allowance and anything else needs another payment method. See our guide to using OTC benefits at Walmart.

The Clover Health OTC catalog (2026)

Clover publishes a 2026 Over the Counter Item Catalog and a LiveHealthy Catalog listing approved items. You can order by mail or online through Clover’s partner company; Clover says orders take 7 to 10 business days to arrive. Typical OTC categories include:

The catalog for your plan year is the final word on what’s eligible, so check it before you shop.

What happened to Healthy Benefits Plus and Grocery Plus?

Older Clover materials called the card the “Healthy Benefits Plus” card and described a Grocery Plus benefit. For 2026, Clover’s member pages describe the LiveHealthy Flex Plus card, with the Healthy Benefits+ site and app used to check balances. Food benefits in Medicare Advantage are usually limited to members who meet chronic-illness rules, so check your Evidence of Coverage before assuming your card covers groceries. Our guide to the Medicare food allowance explains who qualifies.

Comparing plans for 2027

Clover’s OTC range drops to $25 to $145 per quarter in 2027, and the Choice Value PPO example falls from $170 to $145 per quarter. During Medicare Open Enrollment (October 15 to December 7, 2026), check your Annual Notice of Change and compare doctors, drugs and the out-of-pocket maximum first.
