Georgia Medicaid OTC Benefits 2027: Peach State, Amerigroup and CareSource

Updated October 25, 2026

Reviewed October 25, 2026. Georgia Medicaid OTC benefits are extra allowances that Georgia’s Medicaid health plans, called care management organizations (CMOs), offer for over-the-counter health items. They aren’t a standard state benefit, so what you get depends on your plan. Peach State Health Plan lists up to $10 a month per household for 2026, Amerigroup has advertised an OTC card worth up to $240 a year, and CareSource’s 2026 Georgia Medicaid extras page doesn’t list an OTC allowance.

Quick answer: Check which Georgia Families plan you’re in, then use that plan’s OTC catalog or card. Peach State orders go through CVS Health OTC Health Solutions online, by phone at 1-888-262-6298 or at participating CVS stores. Georgia’s current CMO contracts with Amerigroup, CareSource and Peach State run through June 30, 2027, so these benefits continue into 2027 unless your plan changes them.

Peach State Health Plan OTC benefit

Peach State calls this a value-added benefit for its members. Its OTC page says:

Peach State links its 2026 Over-the-Counter Catalog from the same page. For sign-in help and other numbers, see our Peach State Health Plan guide.

Amerigroup Georgia OTC benefit

Amerigroup Community Care’s Georgia enrollment page (2025) lists “Up to $240 value yearly in health items with OTC card that can be used in store or online ($20 a month).” Georgia DCH’s 2024-2025 health plan comparison chart describes Amerigroup’s benefit as an over-the-counter catalog with “up to $240 value yearly in health items mailed to you or for pick-up at participating CVS locations.” Amerigroup also posts separate home delivery catalogs for Georgia Families and Georgia Families 360° members.

Amerigroup lists other Georgia extras on the same page, including a Healthy Rewards gift card worth up to $125 a year and $75 in utility assistance for eligible members. For Amerigroup Georgia Medicaid Member Services, call 1-800-600-4441 (TTY 711).

CareSource Georgia: rewards instead of an OTC allowance

CareSource’s Georgia Medicaid additional services page (updated October 2026) doesn’t list an OTC allowance. It lists rewards programs instead:

CareSource says these programs aren’t part of Georgia Pathways to Coverage. For more on the plan, see is CareSource Medicaid.

If you have Medicare and Georgia Medicaid

If you qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid, a Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) may give you a much larger card. CareSource Dual Advantage in Georgia, for example, listed $240 a month on its Healthy Benefits+ card in 2026, and Dual Advantage Plus listed $196 a month. See CareSource Healthy Benefits+ card amounts for details and 2027 updates. Humana and Molina also run Medicaid plans in other states; see Humana Medicaid OTC benefits and is Molina Healthcare Medicaid.

How to order OTC items with Georgia Medicaid

  1. Confirm your plan. Your CMO is on your member ID card. If you’re not sure, see how to check your Medicaid status.
  2. Get the current catalog. Plans post their OTC catalogs on their websites, or you can ask Member Services for help.
  3. Order within your limit and deadline. Peach State’s monthly cutoff is 11:59 p.m. Eastern on the last day of the month.
  4. Choose delivery or pickup. Peach State and Amerigroup both use CVS for pickup or delivery, but not every CVS store takes part.

OTC catalogs usually cover items such as pain relievers, cold and allergy medicine, first aid supplies, vitamins and personal care products. See our list of what you can get with an OTC card for common categories. Because Georgia Medicaid plans use CVS for OTC orders, our guide to OTC benefits at CVS may also help.

What changes for Georgia Medicaid plans in 2027?

Georgia is buying new Georgia Families contracts. On December 2, 2024, the state issued a notice of intent to award contracts to CareSource, Humana, Molina and UnitedHealthcare, with UnitedHealthcare named for Georgia Families 360°. Amerigroup and Peach State weren’t among the apparent winners. On April 23, 2026, the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) said the procurement was still in the protest phase and that it “will extend the current CMO contracts for Amerigroup, CareSource, and Peach State through June 30, 2027 (SFY2027).”
