Healthy Louisiana plans in 2026 and 2027
Louisiana’s Medicaid managed care lineup has changed twice in two years:
- January 1, 2026: LDH didn’t renew UnitedHealthcare’s contract after December 31, 2025, and moved those members to the five remaining plans (LDH).
- December 31, 2026: Healthy Blue’s contract ends. LDH says more than 290,000 Healthy Blue members will keep Medicaid and move to another plan, with new coverage starting January 1, 2027 (LDH).

Who can join
